As an Army brat I\u2019ve lived a bit all over which definitely sparked my wanderlust from a young age. Even now, I\u2019m always looking for the next travel destination and adventure which this year means a trip to Japan!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve always wanted to visit Japan in part because I\u2019m a HUGE nerd &#8211; comic books, anime, sci-fi\/fantasy, KDramas &#8211; you name it and I\u2019ve probably read\/watch\/consumed it to an alarming extent. I also collect action figures and other memorabilia so when I tell you I\u2019m hyped to visit Akihabara in Tokyo you better believe it\u2019s to find some exclusive anime merch. In fact, during COVID I made 1000 paper cranes! I\u2019m also an amateur foodie &#8220;influencer&#8221; on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thecityboba\/\">Instagram<\/a> with a slight obsession for boba tea &#8211; if you\u2019ve ever been to Orlando you know we have more boba shops than Starbucks! Orlando was also just voted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelandleisure.com\/orlando-florida-named-the-best-food-city-in-america-8303958\">best foodie city<\/a> in America and I\u2019m telling you, we more than deserve the title.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"452\" src=\"https:\/\/torch.cci.fsu.edu\/~lis5313\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/3-1024x452.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4061\" srcset=\"https:\/\/torch.cci.fsu.edu\/~lis5313\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/3-1024x452.png 1024w, https:\/\/torch.cci.fsu.edu\/~lis5313\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/3-300x132.png 300w, https:\/\/torch.cci.fsu.edu\/~lis5313\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/3-768x339.png 768w, https:\/\/torch.cci.fsu.edu\/~lis5313\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/3-1536x677.png 1536w, https:\/\/torch.cci.fsu.edu\/~lis5313\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/3.png 1610w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>A girl&#8217;s got to have some hobbies right?<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s probably not very surprising given my interests that my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/linneaeberhart\/\">career\u00a0<\/a>has also focused on intellectual property. In fact that was my actual career &#8211; I was an intellectual property attorney advising clients on trademarks and copyright! And while I love IP (and will talk your ear off about IP), I didn\u2019t necessarily love being a lawyer hence the decision to pursue my Master\u2019s degree. As I explore what comes next for me, I\u2019ve particularly enjoyed the creative courses offered by FSU &#8211; last semester I launched a whole social media campaign in LIS 5385 which was a great experience! I wanted to take that a step further and learn more about creating digital content and Digital Media seemed like the perfect fit. I\u2019m excited to work on each of the labs this semester and am particularly looking forward to developing my video editing skills.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings from Orlando aka the House of Mouse!
