Torch Usage Policy

Torch is intended for students to complete and store coursework, participate in activities related to the College of Communication and Information, and build a working portfolio. Any other use of Torch must be explicitly approved. No illegal content is allowed, including copyrighted material, x-rated content, sensitive data about yourself or others, and commercial transactions or advertising. Any content not permitted or that generates excessive bandwidth are subject to immediate removal without notice. Torch and its users are required to follow University policies regarding appropriate use of IT resources [4-OP-H-5]. As a Torch user, you agree to only manipulate data in your home directory, not alter the server in any way, not access the server through approved protocols, and not post content that compromises the integrity of the server and its services offered. Failure to abide by these policies will cause your access to be revoked, content removed, and subject to the consequences as described in the FSU policy for use of IT resources.
